What's going on here?
I'm spending the year in Australia trying to get a handle on how this country is approaching the problem of climate change. In particular, I'm interested in how some people are studying it, and other people are dealing with it. And what's more, how do these efforts link up?
But I'm also interested in general issues of science policy: how we pursue knowledge through research and discovery, and how that impacts our lives.
If there is a thesis to this blog, it is that we are already adapting whether we know it or not: to changes in climate, environment, technology, development, culture, politics.... The question is, who's driving the bus?
